The mission of the Citrus Lakes Chorus is to provide a means for men who love close harmony to link with other men whose love is the same. The mission of the chapter is to perpetuate the unique art-form of barbershop harmony in this and succeeding generations.

The chorus sings for the general entertainment of the community it serves and just for the pleasure of singing. Achievement of this mission may employ organized quartetting, pickup quartetting, tag quartetting, chorus singing, “woodshedding,” and group or "gang" singing.
